On June 18, 2026, Guangdong Wumei Law Firm successfully held the 18th installment of its “Legal Warmth for Seniors” public legal education lecture series for the elderly. Led by Lu Junfeng, a partner at Wumei Law Firm, the lecture focused on the often-overlooked yet critical issue of “statutes of limitations for will-related inheritance disputes,” providing seniors with practical legal guidance.
Mr. Li Jianjun, head of the Elderly Legal Services Team at the Guangdong Provincial University for Retired Cadres, also attended the event in person. He listened to the lecture alongside the seniors and, during the interactive session, shared insights drawn from his own experience, adding warmth and professional support to the event.

During the lecture, Attorney Lu Junfeng drew on his many years of practical experience in the fields of marriage, family law, and wealth succession to systematically explore three key areas: common misconceptions regarding the statute of limitations for testamentary inheritance, current legal provisions, and practical approaches to handling such cases. Using real-life cases to illustrate legal principles, Attorney Lu provided an in-depth analysis of typical disputes and challenges arising from statute of limitations issues in judicial practice, helping seniors clarify key concepts such as “when to assert their rights” and “ how to avoid missing the deadline,” among other key concepts. The response from the audience was extremely enthusiastic.
Following the lecture, the Wumei Law Firm team launched “one-on-one” pro bono legal consultations. Seniors eagerly sought advice from the attorneys on legal concerns in their daily lives, such as will drafting and the statute of limitations for wills. The attorneys listened patiently to everyone’s concerns, addressed them one by one, and provided professional, specific, and actionable legal advice and solutions.

“Legal Warmth for the Golden Years” is a regular public service initiative launched by Wumei Law Firm specifically for the elderly. Covering multiple areas such as wealth management, rights protection, and family succession, the initiative aims to safeguard the peace of mind of seniors in their later years through professional legal expertise. Moving forward, Wumei Law Firm will continue to launch more legal education activities tailored to the practical needs of the elderly and provide pro bono consultations on marriage, family, and inheritance matters to the general public, bringing the warmth of the rule of law to households across the nation.
