On January 15, 2026, the 58th session of the Wumei Family Law Series Salon themed "Guangdong-Hong Kong Dialogue: Judicial Trial and Drafting Points of Prenuptial Agreements" was successfully held at Guangdong Wumei Law Firm. Co-hosted by Wumei Lawyers and the Family Law Team of Withers Worldwide Hong Kong Office, this salon created a special dialogue session for Guangdong and Hong Kong legal experts, focusing on in-depth discussions on the core issues of prenuptial agreements in the judicial practice of the two regions.

Lawyer Wong Wai Yin, Partner of the Family Law Team at Withers Worldwide Hong Kong Office, Senior Lawyer Wang Xitong and Lawyer Wang Xiyu delivered a presentation themed "Hong Kong Prenuptial Agreements: Legal Effect and Cross-Border Practice". Combining the latest Hong Kong judicial precedents, they systematically explained the criteria for determining the legal effect of prenuptial agreements in Hong Kong, and shared operable strategies and experience for complex scenarios such as cross-border asset allocation and marital and family arrangements.

Based on mainland judicial practice, Lawyer Ou Meixin, Partner of Wumei Law Firm, delivered a special sharing titled "Judicial Trial Status and Drafting Points of Prenuptial Agreements Involving Real Estate Under the Civil Code". Combining Article 5 of the Judicial Interpretation II of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China on Marriage and Family and relevant cases, Lawyer Ou sorted out the judicial trends of mainland courts in hearing prenuptial agreements involving real estate. Meanwhile, she also shared the R&D ideas of relevant products of Wumei Law Firm and elaborated on the core precautions for lawyers in drafting such agreements.

In the interactive exchange session, the atmosphere was enthusiastic. Lawyers from Guangdong and Hong Kong conducted in-depth discussions on the practical application of prenuptial agreements. The participating lawyers not only clarified the judicial differences of prenuptial agreements between Guangdong and Hong Kong, but also mastered the key skills of agreement drafting. They deeply realized that in family law services, the rigor of agreement design, the forward-looking of evidence awareness, and the comprehensive evaluation ability of cross-field risks are the core keys to improving the quality of case handling.

The successful holding of this salon not only built a professional exchange bridge for family law practitioners in Guangdong and Hong Kong, but also provided valuable practical guidance for handling Hong Kong-related marriage and family cases through the ideological collision of experts from the two regions. In the future, Wumei Law Firm will continue to focus on the cutting-edge trends of family law, build more high-quality professional exchange platforms, help peers in the industry jointly improve the professional level of family law services, and provide more accurate and comprehensive legal protection for clients.
