On December 15, 2025, the lecture activity themed "Rule of Law in China and Protection for 'Her' — Lecture on the Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests", sponsored by the Guangzhou Women's Federation and the Yuexiu District Women's Federation of Guangzhou, was successfully held at the Yangji Community Cultural Square in Yuexiu District. Lawyer Li Xiaofei, Director of Guangdong Wumei Law Firm and Director of the Women Lawyers' Work Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association, was invited to attend the lecture and share stories about women's rights protection and legislative practice.
At the event, Lawyer Li Xiaofei focused on real rights protection stories and legislative practice achievements in her sharing: from the helplessness of domestic violence victims in seeking rights protection in 2005, to the institutional breakthrough of successfully applying for a personal safety protection order for "children witnessing domestic violence" in 2016, and then to her personal experience in revising the Measures for the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests in Guangdong Province and promoting the inclusion of key clauses such as "husband and wife may check each other's property" into the law. She vividly connected the progressive path of women's rights protection in China from individual demands to institutional improvement, enabling grassroots residents to intuitively feel the practical protection brought by the progress of the rule of law to women's rights protection.
