Director Li Xiaofei and Lawyer Huang Xiaoying of our firm delivered a public interest legal lecture on anti-domestic violence and Marriage Law topics for trainees of Weide Voluntary Legal Service Center.
From March 5 to 6, 2019, Director Li Xiaofei and Lawyer Huang Xiaoying of our firm were invited by the Futian Weide Voluntary Legal Service Center in Shenzhen to deliver training lectures for participants of the Family Assistance Program on women’s and children’s rights protection. The lectures were themed respectively as Practice and Exploration in Anti-Domestic Violence Work and Case Handling Strategies and Skills in Marriage and Family Law Matters.
First, Attorney Li Xiaofei, Director of our Firm and Director of the Marriage and Family Law Professional Committee of the Guangzhou Lawyers Association, delivered a lecture on practical skills concerning China’s Anti-Domestic Violence Law based on big data reports.
With reference to the big data reports, Attorney Li popularized anti-domestic violence legal knowledge from an objective and professional perspective, and guided participants on how to give full play to the functions of the personal safety protection order system and the warning order system within the existing legal framework.
Subsequently, Lawyer Huang Xiaoying, Director of the Dispute Resolution Department of our firm, started from the widely discussed online case of the He Jie Divorce Case. Combining a number of typical cases handled by herself, she explained the relevant legal provisions of China’s Marriage Law and Inheritance Law to the participants in a vivid and humorous manner.
While popularizing legal knowledge, Lawyer Huang also put forward professional suggestions on case handling issues such as compensation for mental damage and child custody disputes.

Lawyer Wu Shuyang of our firm delivered a public interest legal lecture to nearly one hundred female students at Nanshan Xin Hui School.
On March 5, 2019, Lawyer Wu Shuyang of our firm, serving as a legal expert for the second public welfare venture project of Nanshan Women's Federation — "Painting a Harmonious Home · Anti-Domestic Violence Legal Support Program" — was invited by the Green Leaf Classroom Youth Legal Education Project to deliver a legal lecture on anti-domestic violence and sexual assault prevention to nearly one hundred senior female students at Guangzhou Nanshan Xin Hui School.
Facing the young students, Lawyer Wu stepped away from a solemn professional demeanor. Starting with interesting and relatable cases, she communicated with the girls in a relaxed manner to impart basic legal knowledge on anti-domestic violence and help them build awareness of preventing sexual assault, enabling the children to grow up healthily and happily with the care of Wumei lawyers.
Lawyer Huang Xiaoying of our firm delivered a training lecture on the theme of Marriage Law for young participants at the Guangzhou Youth Cultural Palace.
On March 14, 2019, Lawyer Huang Xiaoying, Director of the Dispute Resolution Department of our firm, was invited by the Marriage Research Center of Guangzhou Youth Cultural Palace. She gave a training lecture themed A Steady Happiness — Marriage and Family Issues from a Legal Perspective to more than 50 participants of the training course.
Facing the young participants, Lawyer Huang Xiaoying took a number of entertainment news stories as the starting point to interpret the complex legal relationships and legal wisdom behind them. At the end of the session, she analyzed practical issues closely related to the participants one by one, clearing up all kinds of misunderstandings and doubts about family law.
